Workshop on Role of Women in Conflict Resolution-
Dear friends,
Greetings from the Women's Unit of Indian Social Institute.
Over the ages, women have the reputation of been the peace keepers
whether it is in their home or in the community. The role of women in
conflict resolution and peace keeping is a important topic for debate
in recent ages, especially when ethnic conflicts and communal violence
is on the rise today. More and more people are open to the idea of
women being a part of peace negotiations. In this context Indian Social
Institute along with CSSS - Mumbai is conducting a two day seminar
on "The role of women in conflict resolution" on the 19 & 20th September 2011
at Indian Social Institute - Bangalore. The details are as follows:
