Training of Trainers (ToT) on “Poverty Analysis and Vulnerability”
20 Sept-25 Sept, 2011 in Samarthan, Bhopal
Dear Sir/Madam,
The poor today in our society is literally cut off from the mainstream
socio-economic development. They are living in socio-cultural isolation,
political powerlessness and deprived of all means of productive resources.
Empowerment of poor can only take place if they are organized. It is only
possible if they are able to see and analyze the key factors affecting
their poverty and evolve own strategy to come out of the poverty and
vulnerabilities. National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) opens up
opportunities to organize the poor and address their issues of poverty
through their own understanding and strategies.
In this context, Samarthan has developed a six day residential training
course for the development workers engaged in implementation of the
project on poverty alleviation and livelihood enhancement. The training
will help the development workers develop requisite skills as
participatory trainer and facilitator to strengthen and empower the
capacity of the poor households and their self help groups (SHGs).
